Gay Festival JULY/4/2009

I went to THE BRITISH MUSEUM with my roommate JULIA, who is from Russia. After we finish the visit, we met up THE GAY FESTIVAL! It’s really fun. I am influenced by the joy from these people. I feel happy because they are happy. The gay people are so nice and friendly. Especially their talking style. I also have a friend is gay. oh~ I miss him!

This is my first time to see the Gay Festival. I never be surrounded by so many gays.Also, people are so different from Taiwan, there are so many people sit on the lawn. In Taiwan, no one will sit on the lawn. Especially under the big sunshine. I like the people enjoy the sunlight.

Virgin English presentation

I didn’t expect that my virgin English presentation is coming so soon.
Fortunately, the main topic is talking about our country’s educational system that we are familiar with. Also, you are not alone. Discuss our country’s educational system with partner. We discovery there are so many differences because of age. Because of the educational system is changing constantly in Taiwan. Listen to the others’ educational system is really fun and interesting.
But I think I will be persecuted before I presentation every time forever. Because I am shy but loud. I want to deliver my concept of my design to everyone. I can’t help to be shy and blush.

To Integrate the life in LONDON

It’s already been two weeks in LONDON. I am trying to get with everything. For example, I learn how to take the tube and the bus. Although the direction of the bus confuse me all the time. In additional, the British accent had greatly perplexed me. Because in Taiwan, teachers invariably teach students the America style English. Sometime I don’t understand the wording and the accent of the British. But now, I remember one thing is bathroom called loo or toilet. Also I have adapted to the climate. The variations of the weather are like puzzle. As well as I have to get used to the day is getting dark at 10pm. But I have to get used to the day become dark at five pm in winter again.On the other hand, I used to hate the sunlight in Taiwan Because the sun is always so big, if people don’t wear a brolly, they are going to melt like ice cream. But in LONDON, I can feel people like sunshine, so the joy from people influences me a lot. Now I like the sun as well as Londoner.

Never give up

Before I coming to London, I took a great deal of time to persuade my parents. I have to prove that I can take care of myself. And how much I love England and want to study abroad. On the other hand, my grandma is being so supported. Because she doesn’t have the opportunity goes to school to study. She encourages me a lot to study in England and also tell me never give up!
I know that everyone in my family worry about me. Because I am the youngest child in my family. And now, I am in England. Dreams come true! The boat is sailed. There is no turning back. In the beginning, I have a lot of problems with my accommodation. I even have no place to live almost. Fortunately, there are so many lovely British help me. They are so kind, friendly, and enthusiastic. Also thank god! I solved my problem. There are so many people say the British is cool. But I don’t think so. Now, for me, the English academic words are so cool to me. I want to know them, but they seem like doesn’t have the interests to me. It is depressed, painful to understand the English academic word. But I won’t give up. I want to make friend with academic words.
